Popular street festival celebrates everything apple

CLARINGTON — Apples will take centre stage in Bowmanville this Saturday.

The annual Applefest street festival takes over the downtown Saturday, Oct. 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Four blocks will be closed to showcase local apple growers offering a wide variety of fresh local apples and apple goodies including cider, pies and crisps, candy and caramel apples, donuts and hot apple fritters.

The popular event, organized by the merchants of downtown Bowmanville, also features live entertainment, jumping castles, pony rides, carnival rides and an array of vendors selling crafts and food products.

Parking and admission are free.
