Renovated Oshawa Centre looking to hire up to 700 people at massive job fair

OSHAWA — The Oshawa Centre is holding a massive job fair for the renovated mall with up to 60 new and existing businesses hiring workers.

The career exhibition on Aug. 13 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. will include a mix of stores and restaurants looking to hire up to 700 full- and part-time workers.

Job seekers should show up to the career exhibition at the mall, located at 419 King St. W., with updated resumes as well as a piece of photo ID. Businesses will be accepting resumes and conducting on-the-spot interviews.

The mall is currently on the tail end of a $230-million renovation and expansion with official grand opening ceremonies scheduled for Sept. 29.

Among the new businesses opening their doors and looking to hire are: A and W; Adidas; Augie Doggy; BarBurrito Fresh Mexican Grill; Baxters Landing; Bikini Village; Chatters; DAVID’s TEA; Famous Footwear; Fonelab; Forever 21; Fruit of the Land; Geox; Hot Topic; Kelsey’s; La Vie en Rose; Lindt; Mountain Warehouse; Northern Reflections; Pannizza; Perfumes 4 U; RW and Co.; South St. Burger; Spareparts; Suzy Shier; Ten Thousand Villages; Torrid; WKLN; and Yankee Candle.
