Howard Marten Company Limited is a world leader in the design and manufacturing of oil lubrication and other fluid systems for the domestic and international market. We are located in Pickering, at 875 Dillingham Road. We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Helper to:
Assist in installing and fabricating piping, pumps, motors, structure, tanks, and instrumentation.
Conduct preventative and corrective work of a mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic nature.
Assist in preparing, blasting, cleaning, painting and finishing parts, fabrication and structures.
Qualifications
Mechanical aptitude with a knowledge of pumps, instrumentation and electronics
Must be able to read and follow instructions and adhere to work instructions/procedures.
Must be able to identify standard materials and hardware for type, size and grade.
Prior knowledge or experience with power and hand tools, measuring devices, and basic fabrication shop practices.
Able to move tools, equipment and other materials to and from work areas.
Able to work with little guidance required
Ability to work with safety focus
Housekeeping and organizational skills
Time management skills
Verbal communication skills

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dedicated, results driven, and strategic professional to join our team in the role of Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives in Pickering, Ontario.

Working in the Nuclear Decommissioning Division, Reporting to the VP Nuclear Decommissioning the role of Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives offers a unique opportunity to influence and support OPG’s Decommissioning Division by participating in the planning, implementation and management of the overall strategy. You will be responsible for performing specific assessments and investigations related to the strategic direction of the department by maintaining, leveraging, and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives plays an essential role in supporting OPG’s Nuclear Business Unit and is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to join a dynamic and strategic team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Support development of decommissioning strategy in conjunction with the overall corporate strategy, strategic objectives and priorities, and key performance indicators.

Assist in the review and integration of functional business strategies to ensure alignment with corporate strategies and priorities.

Support OPG’s internal provisional funding model and its integration with corporate strategic, business and investment planning.

Support the development of shareholder and key stakeholder strategies, and the management of key external relationships/interfaces.

Negotiate and manage corresponding commercial arrangements with external parties in the fulfilment of the above initiatives.

Monitor and assess key decommissioning strategic developments, both internal and external, and facilitate the integration of business intelligence, information and perspectives.

Liaise with industry experts both inside and outside Canada to obtain a broad context for understanding various trends and developments of significance to OPG.

Analyze and assess business policies and government, business trends and new business opportunities, and supporting strategies and plans for seeding and advancing growth options/opportunities, while leveraging support resources from across the corporation as required.

Undertake synthesis and analysis of business intelligence to identify potential business opportunities and threats and propose strategies to capitalize on opportunities and/or mitigate threats.

Assess and advise on specific regulatory policy and/or strategic issues affecting OPG, and address specific strategic queries by senior management.

Interface with internal stakeholders to access information, resources and specialized expertise, and provide input to the development of supporting functional strategies, and operating and business plan.

Monitor external best practices in decommissioning strategic planning.

Manage and supervise staff (as required).

EDUCATION

University Degree in Engineering, Science and/or relevant studies or experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are seeking a dynamic, dedicated and results driven professional who has the following:

Minimum of 10 years of experience working in and/or supporting the Nuclear industry

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a related role with increasing levels of responsibility

Experience working in a senior level position with responsibility to overall strategy, budget and financial planning

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build, maintain and manager internal and external relationships

Immediate opening for an experienced Loader Operator in PICKERING (Work boots required)

HOURS – Night Shift, 10 hours a day Monday – Friday varied between 4 pm – 2 am

Chance of Day Shift, 10.5 hours a day Monday – Friday 5:30 am – 4 pm

$15 to start with increase after three months – benefits package after six months

Must be able to multi-task, think outside the box, communicate well and work as part of a team.

Permanent Full Time Forklift Operator

Main responsibilities
•Unload/Load the trailers
•Read destination labels written on ropacks and move freight as required
•Constantly feeding ropacks to the pick line
•Carefully transport merchandise throughout the warehouse
•Ensure removal of empty trailers
•Preparing final reports on removed trailers and received merchandise
•Do a thorough pretrip and post trip of the Forklift assigned to your at the beginning and end of each shift
•Preparing a final report on the number of ropacks remaining on warehouse floor
•Ensuring all the freight is moved to the appropriate trailers to ensure cut times are made for Drivers to depart.
•Communicates with the Team Leads and Supervisors
•Maintains open line of communication with his/her supervisor

•80% of the time sitting on the Forklift
•20% of the time standing in the warehouse
